About the author

I'm a native St. Louisan and daily bicycle commuter. I've been a bicycle safety instructor since 2008, but became truly excited about the transformative potential of bicycle education when I learned about CyclingSavvy, started in Florida in June 2010. Had CyclingSavvy been available when I rediscovered bicycling in the 1990s, I would have saved myself years of trial and error!

I was so looking forward to doing this! But I am running the Chicago Marathon on Sunday 10/7, so I will be traveling to Chicago on the day of the all day workshop. Will you schedule another one later in the fall?

Jill, with apologies for repeating myself (because you probably already got a similar message through the CyclingSavvy St. Louis Facebook page). But for others: Yes! I will talk with my St. Louis instructor cohorts and see what dates we can come up with.

    Hi Karen
today I received two Trailer long toungue bolts from Bike Friday. I wonder if you are the Karen Karabell who ordered them??
I live on Greenland and received the bolts together with my own order from Bike Friday :-)

    Regards
    Kim

Yes, they are mine! I wondered where they were. Are you in Greenland, the country?(!) Seems pretty far from St. Louis, Missouri. Gee whiz: That’s a heck of a mistake for the company to make :( I’ll be in touch with Bike Friday to see if they’ll send me more…

Just talked with Renee at Bike Friday, and she said they’d try to get it right this time!

P.S. (and then I’ll be quiet): I LOVE my Bike Friday, and I hope that you’ll love yours, too.

          • Hi Karen
I’m pleased they will send you two new bolts.
I also LOVE my Bike Friday Tikit. In october I will bring it on a car roadtrip from Denver to San Francisco. That way I can use it to explore a bit more when I am done driving each afternoon :-) I will stay in SF for a week with the bike as my only transport.
And yes – I live on the worlds largest island – the country Greenland :-)
            Regards
            Kim
