Our last classes of the 2013 season will be held the second weekend in October (note change of dates!). The Friday evening classroom session prepares your mind with some history and overview of traffic rules, teaches some common crash types and how to avoid them, and other techniques for protecting your space and making your trip less stressful. Then we spend all day Saturday on our bikes, learning and practicing some basic skills in the morning, concluding with a short ride to Monument Square for lunch. Then in the afternoon we tour Portland by bike, focusing on some special problem areas and strategizing how to get through them them. Then we party! [Optional but recommended. ]
