Hi — I live in eastern Massachusetts and teach here. I also teach online and travel to work with other instructors. My work as a cycling consultant to attorneys has taken me to cities all around the USA and in Canada. CyclingSavvy works there too! My dream is to put myself out of business as a crash investigator!
I have a three-part course scheduled for October 6 and 7, 2023 — scroll down on this page for registration. You may sign up for only the classroom session (over Zoom) and then optionally take the on-bike sessions with any instructor.
I ride for transportation in everyday clothes. My favorite bicycle to ride around town is my Raleigh Twenty folder. I also ride a road bike with a recreational bicycle club, the Charles River Wheelers, and on overnight tours. I am the author of the booklet Bicycling Street Smarts. As technical writer and editor at sheldonbrown.com, I write about bicycle customization and maintenance.
I am currently chair of the Program Committee of the American Bicycling Education Association, the parent organization of the CyclingSavvy program, and one of a team of editors of the Savvy Cyclist blog.
Please feel free to ask any bicycling question. And come ride with me. I teach so that other people can experience the freedom which I know as a cyclist. I can show you how to ride in safety and with confidence, through the Bicycling Street Smarts booklet or in a CyclingSavvy course.
