cycling savvy tour of Gainesville

Maximize your cycling experience.

The full Cycling Savvy Course INCLUDES Truth & Techniques (classroom session), Train Your Bike (bike handling) session, and our signature on-road experience — Tour of Gainesville.

  • Truth & Techniques (classroom session, no bike needed): Tigert Hall 202 – 6:00-9:00pm
  • Train Your Bike (parking lot skills session): Frazier Rogers Hall Parking Lot – 1817 Museum Rd. – 8:30am-11:30am
  • Tour of Gainesville: Leaves from Frazier Rogers Hall Parking Lot after the drill session. 11:30pm-4:00pm (includes a lunch break)

The Tour of Gainesville is an experiential tour of our city’s roads. The course includes some of the most intimidating road features (intersections, interchanges, merges, etc.) a cyclist might find in his or her travels.

We’ll travel as a group, stopping to survey and discuss each exercise location. After observing the feature, discussing the traffic dynamics and the best strategies for safe and easy passage, participants ride through individually and regroup at a nearby location.

Train Your Bike (bike handling skills session) and Truth & Techniques (classroom session) are included in this 3-part workshop. Completion of these two sessions is required before taking the tour session.

The ticket below is for the full three-part class, including the Tour of Gainesville session.
