I ran a small computer consulting company for 23 years before changing direction and entering the bicycle advocacy world. I have been married for nearly 40 years with three grown children and one brand new granddaughter.
Currently, I run Bike Indianapolis, our city's bicycle advocacy group.
I have lived in Indianapolis for most of my life, and have ridden my bike on our poorly maintained streets the whole time. I started bike commuting in the fifth grade when I got sent to a school about five miles away.
In 2013 I sold my business. While on sabbatical, I rode my bicycle solo across the United States. The experience changed my direction. I spent six weeks on the road while depending on the kindness of strangers and was never disappointed. The world would be a better place if more people rode bicycles. I’m trying to do my part to make that happen.
